Acapulco: no longer Shangri-La for those Price is Right cryptids who bite on Showcase No. 1 but, yeah, still very much like being dumped in the middle of the 1947 maneater tutorial "Out of the Past," minus the getting framed and triple-crossed and eventual free bullet massage 🌴

Nestled in the semi-Venusian landscape of Las Playas (Acapulco's right bicep) is the endearingly half-century-past-its-heyday Hotel Los Flamingos, a cinematic compound of nebulous dimensions, older than gunpowder, where the zanotes will serenade you with "Siboney" while athletic lookin' raccoons cup their hands for cold beer. Meanwhile, the local chismosas say any cursory blacklight-lit tromp around the premises will reveal "evidence" of proto-fuqboy brigade "the Hollywood Gang" and their legendary ooga-booga parties 🫟
